Practice or Game Time
Thanks for stopping by my new blog. Liz has been encouraging me to write one for awhile to express my views on the different twists and turns that our family’s life continues to take. I will be posting daily or semi-daily on everything from kids, to marriage, to sports and everything in between. I actually have a whole lot on my mind that I need to release. It’ll be as good for me as it may be for whomever may read it.
I’ll leave this first post with a thought: The things we go through on a daily basis, good or bad, work or home, rush-hour or downtime, are they there preparing us for something bigger and deeper later (practice) or is that very moment the time in which God is entrusting us with a particular responsibility (game time).

Thoughtful question.
I used to believe that it was all practice, that all this stuff in life was preparing me for something grander than I could imagine. But as of late, I think this is it. This is our one moment. And I should never expect to get a second chance to do anything, because right now is all I’ve got. And we’ve all got to live with no regrets. It’s game time.
p.s. Welcome to the blogosphere.

Donny, I have prayed for your family regularly ever since I started reading Liz’s blog when the babies were born. I especially felt God tugging me to pray for your family when Liz wasn’t blogging and am relieved she is home again.
I’m a MK like you- actually third generation here in Bolivia, SA We have four married kids and three weeks ago welcomed grand baby #10. Our son and daughter in law had twins last year.
May God continue to give you all daily strength as a couple, parents, and in your work place!
God bless,
Helen Steele
